Summary:At the time I bought my first unit in July 2004, it was my understanding that this unit offered better power regulation than the cheaper units. It also came with a replaceable battery, the power to handle a 19 inch CRT monitor, surge protection for both telephone and ethernet cables, and a layout of good design. At $100 to my door this is a great value; so I did not hesitate to buy a second one in March 2007 for my other computer.

Summary:APC products are the best in the industry. Many consider them the only option. Some srtrikes are too fast for others products, but not APC. Tjhey definitely offer the fastest surge protection and reliability of any product currently available.

Strengths:Pretty easy to set up, clear indicator lights on the hardware, and very good software

Summary:There have been no power outages since I started using it, so I cannot attest as to its performance under such conditions, but under normal circumstances it seems to work perfectly fine. The software is a big plus- I very much like how it can be configured to shut the computer off at any number of minutes either after the start of the outage, or before the battery runs out. It also provides other useful information, like how many minutes of power the battery is charged up to at the moment, and the load in terms of Watts that is hooked up to the unit, relative to how much it can take. The only negative remark I have to make about it is not actually with the unit itself, but with the written instructions that came with it (and it is really just a minor little \"nit\".) So it tried to clearly lay out the installation steps in sequential order, however when it got to step #8 (\"Switch on the Back-UPS\"), it more or less says- \"oh yea, and by the way, charge up the battery for at least 8 hours prior to doing anything.\" So strictly speaking, shouldn\'t that have been their step #1?? :)

Summary:I just received my new APC Back-UPS system nd had it integrated into my system within an half hour. The accompanying software makes it a breeze to admininter and so far I have had no problems. It is fairly unobtrusive and fits into my office decor nicely.

Summary:I bought this APC UPS as I was upgrading my home office from a laptop to a desktop workstation. I knew I needed backup power with a desktop to prevent data loss from our frequent power outages.

I was initially looking at a Belkin brand UPS but was advised by a friend in business to go with APC because they have been around longer and seem to have a longer battery life than the similar Belkin models. Granted, you pay more for this.

Overall is a very solid product and I would highly recommend for any small business owner. I have had hard drives fry when the power goes out because they are in the process of rendering a large video file. This is no fun as you can imagine and it is well worth the small investment to get one of these things and give youself time to shut things off in case of a power outage.

My only complaint is that you have to pay more for the same model just to get the privilege of having it in a black case. I absolutely abhor beige boxes so I coughed up the extra money but I don\'t like that they charge more just for a decent colour.

Summary:I purchased this APC Back-UPS to replace my old UPS. Installation was very simple and took no time at all. I tested the unit and it worked perfectly from the get go. I would highly recommend this APC Back-UPS.

Summary:I was surprised when I opened the box and found the size of this UPS small and compact. The capacity of this unit is more than enough for my computer tower system. The battery pack will be easy to replace when they go out.

Summary:Living in Florida power issues are a constant worry, not just in hurricane season. This power backup is a great worry reliever. It gives a loud beep whenever the power is interrupted. I have the computer in another room and the beep is loud enough to wake me up if the power goes out in the middle of the night. When this happens my alarm clock looses its settings and now I never have to be late to work again because I will know to re-set my alarm. Highly recommended battery solution.

Summary:This is my first UPS, and I didn\'t purchase it for the normal computer applications. I\'m using it as a backup for my Harman Kardon stereo. When power is interrupted, it loses its memory settings, such as the auto EQ and speaker sizes. This UPS has solved the problem. In fact, its form factor allows it to fit on the rack like a piece of equipment. It was a cinch to setup and is nice and quiet.

Summary:I\'ve used APC Backup units in the past, and I am especially impressed with this one. Connecting the battery and getting it back into the unit turned out to be a little bit of a puzzle--I hate trying to figure out those engineering drawings that they provided. I plugged everything in and charged up the unit, then ran the self-diagnostic test and it shut down my computer! I ran the test a few minutes later, and everything worked fine.

I\'m impressed with the run time--about 20 minutes on my system with an LCD monitor and a tower PC. The software provided (Powerchute Personal Edition) seems competent and even provides actual load information, something my ES725 did not do.

The unit supposedly provides power regulation as well as battery backup, but I have no way of testing that.

The only negatives I have for this unit are that I had a hard time finding an out of the way location for it, the power plug is not flat and therefore sticks out from the wall, and there are no data or coax protection circuits on the unit (there is telephone line protection).
