It uses 15% less power than an older APC 500VA that I have. There are plenty of outlets and should be enough for most users. Be aware that half are not battery backed so plan accordingly. It\'s a bit smaller and lighter than the R-series model it replaces, though it\'s a bit more expensive than the R-series.  It\'s also supposed to be more energy saving, as it powers-down unused devices to save electricity and money.  There\'s four battery backed outlets, up from three in prior models, and there\'s wider outlets for AC adapters.
