Also, it did not appear to be a genuine Apple product (weight and coloring were a little off).</div><div class="summary"> <b>Summary:</b>My powerbook is the aluminum model, and not titanium, so it is possible that with a titanium PowerBook this power adapter may have been able to charge the computer battery. However, with my computer all I could do was keep it plugged in if I wanted to use it. The fact that it can adjust in length from short to long simply by changing out the AC module is a great idea. I have had no problems with durability aside from my dog destroying my previous one. I think this is a good product, perhaps a little overpriced, but a good product nonetheless. Make sure, when you purchase from these vendors, that the adaptor comes with an AC Cord AND the AC wall adaptor (the small square plug). It travels well because it\'s not bulking and has a unique plug module that allows you to plug the adapter directly in the wall rather than a separate power cord.<br /><br />From a engineering and durability perspective though this charger is a complete disaster if you don\'t treat it as gentle as a baby. The cord that goes from the charger to your laptop is very flimsy. It doesn\'t take but a tug to loosen it and throw $80 down the tube.<br /><br />In my case convenience wins out. I hate packing big power bricks. But if you don\'t, then get a generic adapter by all means. This Apple brand adapter is obviously overpriced.
