Strengths:Casio\'s ergonmic genius and all around perfectness.

Summary:If you are looking to buy a non graphing, solar powered inexpensive calculator then definately get this one. Don\'t get the FX300 since this calculator is only 5 dollars more. This is the king of pocket non graphing calculators. Casio calculators have the best user interface. Sort of Feng-Sheu in it\'s layout and no other brand comes close. If you are in the market for a scientific non graphing calculator then absolutely look no further then the FX115. At $15.00 there is nothing out there that can touch it!

Summary:Good and affordable calculator for college or maybe for work. Have all round function an engineer would need such as equation solver, integration, derivative... I use it for my FE exam

However, Don\'t expect programming or Ti89 stuff in this tiny thing.

Strengths:Cheap (~$15), One of the few calculators allowed for the FE/EIT exam, light, dual power source, great range of functions, 2-line display showing your calculations.

Weaknesses:No graphing abilities, but you won\'t get any at this price range.

Summary:I bought this calculator as it was one of the few allowed in the FE/EIT exam for Engineers. I chose Casio over Texas Instruments and HP, just because I was using a Casio before and was used to their terminology.

This was the my first calculator with S-VPAM (Super Visually Perfect Algebraic Method), which is a moniker for how calculations are entered the same way math is written in real life. It takes a little practice to get to enter in SVPAM if you are not used to it, but that is true for anything one hasn\'t done before.

As opposed to the reviews above, I found the manual comprehensible and helpful (It has examples too that one ought to use for practice) - but maybe it\'s because I am used to reading manuals unlike most of us!

The gamut of functions in this calculator is amazing - solve linear, quadratic and third order equations, perform various regression analyses, statistical analyses, trigonometric calculations or simple arithmetic among others.

The calculator is light, though it is a little long. But hey! the display is 2-line and therefore it saves time and reduces entry errors.

The battery is supposed to last long, and it can use solar power too.

All in all, a good buy. But I would recommend going for a calculator brand that one is used to - if you\'ve used another brand before and are conversant with its nomenclature, use that. If this is your first calculator - go for a Casio!

Summary:I like this simple calculator. It would be a good calculator for your high school or even college age kids. Instead of buying a more expensive Texas Instrument, this calculator is more than sufficient to do most of the high school or college math problem. It\'s dual power would save your money for battery. The price is also very reasonable and CASIO is well known, at least in Asian market, for making a good calculator.

Strengths:Reliable. Sturdy. Sufficient. 2-line display. Solar and Battery operated. Lightweight and thin.

Weaknesses:Had a little bit of trouble trying to take the cover off.

Summary:I only had a little trouble getting the cover at first, but that was mostly on my part. Once I realized how to really take it off, then it was fine. I have this problem with opening and closing things in general especially electronics.

The calculator is very lightweight and thin. I like the 2-line display along with the forward and backward button. Also, like the coloring of the calculator, different from the standard black ones you always see. Looks nice and is sufficient for just about any calculation needs you may have in general math and calculus except for graphing.

I was debating between this and another 2-line display calculator. Comparing the buttons, I thought that I might have a better chance learning and using the buttons on this Casio calculator faster.

Weaknesses:- Manual does a bad job explaining

Summary:This calculator has more functions than any scientific calculator out in the market currently. It can do Numerical Differentiation & Integration (ala TI-83 Plus), it has a built in Equation Solver, it also performs Statistical Calculations and has STAT-Data Editor (again sorta like TI-83 Plus). On the negative side, the Equation Solver takes a long time to solve equations (2-3 minutes for a complex equation). The buttons are very well organized, and the calculator looks beautiful!! It has a steardy case. The calculator is powered in two ways, Solar & Batt. Definitely recommended for any math class you might take!!!

Summary:One of the best scientific calculators on the market of this price range. Basically all casual lab calculations you need are handled by this one. It has all of the standard scientific functions and lots of other features.

I found the calculator very easy to use.
It has the ability to convert any decimal answer to fraction form provided the number can fit on the screen; It also has a equation executor type function which is really handy in science when you need to execute repeated equations; The \'mode\' button makes really convenient to switch between all kinds of calculation modes; It also has the function of changing between degrees, radians, and gradiens......

What\'s really great is the fact that both the equation and the answer appear on the screen at the same time. So you don\'t have to wonder what problem you just entered. If you need to do another operation that somehow you missed or the instructor is giving step by step. With the Casio FX 115W Plus you don\'t have to re-enter the answer that\'s on the screen just type the next operation and it will do the rest.

It comes with a durable cover, so you don\'t have to worry about its durability.

It\'s a great scientific calculator.

Weaknesses:Solver is really slow. Depending on equation can take a couple minutes.Manual is pathetic.

Summary:There is not another scientific calculator that I could find with more features and abilities than this one. And it looks nice too! All for an extemely low price. There were only 2 other non-graphing calculators that I could find that had a solver, one of them was $65. And that $65 one was also the only other one I found that could do calculus. Considering this calculator is $15 I think it is a steal, or at least a tremedous value.

Strengths:Wonderbar! A fast, fully capable scientific calculator with useful functions for the students,professionals alike.Large display and dual power. SVPAM allows easy entry. Highly Recommended.

Weaknesses:Dislike the flimsy cover. I wish they had a leather cover added!!

Summary:This is an excellent calculator with all useful scientific functions including polar to rect.,complex number calcs,many basic constants, 2 and 3 variable equation solver,stats,and many parenthesis levels. It is light and has a very good look. It has plastic /fibre keys that are hardy. Good large display. Very accurate. functions up to 10 digits. It is useful for major exams like SAT/PSAT/NQMS/ACT. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
