I purchased this unit for some temporary USB extensions. I used this indoors twice and started having trouble connecting. Cables to Go refused to assist in troubleshooting or replacing the item. I tested it with both the board and a USB mouse and had no problems. There is no descernable lag, despite the long (25\' cat 5e) cable length. <br /><br />There is no driver, and you can essentially think of it as a long cable that\'s nothing special. They try to hide the 1.1 specification well because it is very slow.  I transfered a 65MB file from my flash drive to my C drive.  This transfer takes 1 full minute over the extender but only 5 seconds when the drive is directly connected.  Do not use this for high bandwidth applications like pictures transfers.  Despite what the packaging says, it is not perfect for digital cameras.
