The speed improvement is even very noticeable when opening large PDF files. There were no compatibility issues, and the system reported that the RAM was running at the advertised speed. <br />  <br /> Those looking to save a few bucks can look elsewhere, to more generic brands of memory, but if reliability backed by a lifetime warranty and excellent customer service is what you desire, Crucial is the way to go.
