Voltages are very good with little fluctuation(tested with a digital multimeter) though I wish the +5v was 5.05 instead of 4.95.
I first installed this in an old Celeron 1200, 4mb pci gfx, single hdd, cd burner + floppy system just to make sure it wasn\'t doa and to see how well it would peform with a VERY light load. I was surprised that it was almost 10% more efficient than an older Forton 300w ps I had been using. Granted, it was using only 6-7 watts less power (measured using a KILL A WATT). If you have an older/low power system that needs a new ps and know you will be building a new rig in the future don\'t be afraid to buy this ps.

Reviewed by: redina on 26-Jun-07 Rating:

Strengths:So far, solid performance, more than enough power, modular cables, and enough cables for most needs, along with aesthetic appearance.

Weaknesses:Cables seem less flexible than other PSUs, which makes it \'interesting\' working with closely situated hard drives.

Summary:I installed this PSU in a Thermaltake Eureka full tower case and the SATA, mainboard, PCI-E... in general, all the cables were of sufficient length with enough leeway to not add tension to the cables. I haven\'t had the PSU for long but it powers the motherboard, two gigs of RAM, a Core 2 Duo and its Zalman CPU fan, a 7900GT OC graphics card, DVD burner, floppy drive, Raptor hard drive, and two additional 400gig storage drives fine. Unit has a good solid weight to it without being too much. I consider the PSU fans not having LED lights as a plus and the black color works well with a black PC case. Manufacturer packaging was probably helpful in keeping the PSU protected from vendor shipping, and speaking of packaging, there\'s also a handy storage bag to hold the spare cables. Expensive but highly recommended PSU with a nice five year warranty.

Reviewed by: Techiec on 19-Jun-07 Rating:

Strengths:1) Rock solid stable 2) Good build quality 3) Relatively Quiet 4) Modular 5) Corsair brand

Weaknesses:1) \"Only\" 620 watts 2) Price 3) 8800GTX SLi would require adapter

Summary:This is the best Power Supply I\'ve owned. Quiet, solid build, and modular! Also has the 8-pin EPS motherboard connector that some boards require. It is even SLi Certified, if that makes a difference to you. The packaging this PS is better than most, and the PS seems better than others. Corsair even provides a nice bag in which you can store your unused modular cables. Another plus would be the Corsair name, which is pretty good in the memory department, so they should give good support to their other products. Some people may find the 620W too low for them, but I think it is enough. For less intensive builds, I would recommend the HX520W because it has a substantially lower price and similar quality. Also, the PS only has 2 PCIe power connectors, and 8800GTX SLi would need 4. Thus you would need an adapter for molex to PCIe. Finally, the price for this unit is quite high, just like other quality PS\'s. Even though it has a few flaws (including price), I would still highly recommend the PS because it has great performance.

Reviewed by: mexsquad on 11-Jun-07 Rating:

Strengths:Modular cables, quiet, strong, 5 year warranty

Weaknesses:NONE so far

Summary:I Have a ATI 1900xtx, 2 gigs corsair memory, usual ide drives, etc.. I wasn\'t sure about it since it higher priced than many others. But from what I have read, many less expensive power supplies are a danger to your system if overloaded (maybe even your home). This one gives me peace of mind. And this one has a realistic power rating at 50-degrees (C). Most others rate their power at very low temperatures, so chances of getting the rated power is low - not to mention potential for unintentional overload. Plus, power supplies are those items that almost everyone overlooks. Especially when you get a $30-$40 case that includes a power supply! But these are not always the best ones to install in your system. I really like the modular plugs so that I only have to install what I am using. This allows more space in my case and better airflow.
