The DDR RAM is usually more expensive than the newer DDR2, so I had to hunt down a good price. I only had one RAM slot, so I wanted the highest density possible, which was 1GB. Corsair is a great brand, and has a lifetime warranty. The RAM installed without any issues, and passed all tests. My only knock is that Corsair is very slow on paying their rebates. It was easy to install and the laptop recognized the new memory right away. I am now using one of the original 256MB sticks of RAM plus this new 1GB stick. Before the upgrade, I could barely do any work if I had to have more than one memory-intensive application open. It was the best deal at Fry\'s, where I bought it, and it had a good rebate to go along. <br /> <br /> Over all, installation was a snap and it works beautifully. I questioned myself afterwards, however, do I really need this much ram, especially for a 2.2GHz celeron system.
