Strengths:Good value for the price; Should last for a couple of years.
Weaknesses:It may be of lower quality than Corsair\'s expensive SODIMMs.
Summary:I rushed and purchased it when prices just started to fall. Now, similar memory is way under $20. If you have a 3-4 year old laptop that runs on DDR1, this is the best upgrade you can give it.

Summary:I was adding RAM to a Netgear ReadyNAS NAS device, and it used older technology laptop RAM. The DDR RAM is usually more expensive than the newer DDR2, so I had to hunt down a good price. I only had one RAM slot, so I wanted the highest density possible, which was 1GB. Corsair is a great brand, and has a lifetime warranty. The RAM installed without any issues, and passed all tests. My only knock is that Corsair is very slow on paying their rebates. Expect a full three months to get your check.

Summary:If you have a older laptop that uses DDR memory, then this 1GB memory module makes a great upgrade for your system. I installed it in my Dell Inspiron 1100 and it works great. It can be purchased for as little as $20 after mail in rebate. Corsair includes a lifetime warranty with this memory.

Summary:The Memory quickly recognized by the system\'s BIOS and was an easy install. My system now works perfectly normal without those memory bottlenecks when it had only 512MB on it. The price on these have come down quite a bit and it was worth the wait. Even graphical applications don\'t kill my system performance. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and will buy another 1GB to replace the other slot that has only 512 right now.

Summary:Using on a 3.5 year old Dell Inspiron 700m, it gave the laptop a significant boost in performance. It was easy to install and the laptop recognized the new memory right away. I am now using one of the original 256MB sticks of RAM plus this new 1GB stick. Before the upgrade, I could barely do any work if I had to have more than one memory-intensive application open. Now, I can run many such applications at a time and switch between them with very little wait time.

Summary:This memory chip is very easy to install. Just use a philips screwdriver to open lid, pull out the old memory chip and insert the new one. Runs like a charm. Much faster than before with only 512 MB.

Summary:I bought two sets of this memory to upgrade my laptops memory from 512MB to 2048MB. Its performance is good, due to amount of memory of the windows xp, swap operations are minimized thus my overall system performance is effected dramatically. At least best buy for me. Great value and performance that meet my expectation.

Summary:I upgraded my Mac Powerbook G4 from 1 gb to 1.5 gb total memory and have noticed a significant increase in speed of various programs. DDR memory is hard to find at bargain prices unlike DDR2, but this 1 gb DDR cost me just ~15 after 2 rebates, which in my opinion is a great deal.

Summary:This memory was very easy to install and the 2 year old Compaq immediately recognized it. Nearly all of the applications are running faster and smoother. No compatibility problems and computer has been problem free for nearly two weeks!

Weaknesses:Just thought I\'d throw out that I got this chip, and it works fine. No problems like others are seeing.
Summary:Works well in HP zv6130us. Incresed memory from 512 MB to 1280MB. Laptop performs much better, Windows definitely likes the additional memory. Replaced external memory module, took 5 minutes. Rebooted immediatly. No problems after approximately 1 week.

Strengths:Excellent brand, good warranty. Works as advertised. Using it in a Dell Inspiron 1000.
Weaknesses:Adding 1GB might be excessive for some users, especially if the computer is relatively low-end and has more than 256mb installed. Also, 2x 512mb is usually cheaper if you have the slots.
Summary:This RAM is average in terms of features (CAS 2.5, non-ecc), and is perfect for the average user. It was the best deal at Fry\'s, where I bought it, and it had a good rebate to go along.

Over all, installation was a snap and it works beautifully. I questioned myself afterwards, however, do I really need this much ram, especially for a 2.2GHz celeron system. The honest answer is no, i don\'t, since if I was running something that needed this much ram, the CPU and front side bus would become major bottlenecks.

Still, I\'d recommend people to buy as much RAM as they can afford. :)
