Strengths:Good value, large capacity in a single dimm, brand name

Summary:I bought one module of this memory to upgrade an Acer Aspire 5610Z notebook running Windows Vista Home Basic, which was extremely sluggish with the 512MB memory that it came with. Installation was quick but the notebook would not boot with the stock 512MB module in the second slot and 2GB Corsair module in the first. When I swapped them with the 512MB stick in the first slot and 2GB stick in the second, the computer booted fine. However, even though BIOS detected the expected 2.5GB of total memory, Vista would only see 2GB of it despite the Acer manual stating that the computer supports up to 4GB total memory. This may be due to the chipset used in this notebook (Intel i943/940GML which intel states supports 2GB max memory) and not any compatibility or reliability issue with this memory. In fact computer performance improved with the corsair 2GB stick and memtest found no errors after 2 full passes of tests. Overall it appears to be very good value and quality.

Summary:I wanted to upgrade the RAM from the stock 1gb on a newly purchased laptop. My goal was to get 4gb of RAM at the cheapest method possible. I thus decided to go with 2 sticks of this Corsair RAM. It was certianly much cheaper than what my notebook manufacturer wanted for the upgrade, and it worked perfectly well on my new laptop. Installation was easy, and I also ran a memory read test which resulted in 0 errors. I highly recommend this RAM to anyone looking to upgrade their laptops. Consequently, given its ease of installation, high quality, and low price, I give it 5 stars.

Summary:It is compatible with 2 of my laptop. One is Asus Z35f with Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Another is Fujitsu S2110 with AMD Turion X2 processor. In my experience, AMD laptop seems to be more picky on memory but this Corsair module works without any problem.

Summary:I recently purchase a Acer laptop which came with only 1GB memory that has widows vista premium. The system was sluggish since vista itself uses almost all the available memory. So I upgraded the memory with this 2GB Corsair memory. After easy installation process, the system immediately recognized the memory upgrade and now the computer runs much faster and smoothly. I can open many programs at one without any problems. This Corsair memory is great value for the money and greatly improves the computer experience.

Summary:This memory was purchased for a Dell 1520 Laptop. It was easy to install and recognized by the vista operating system. It gave my system the needed memory boost that allows vista to run smoothly. It is a single stick which is great in case you need additional memory in the future. Overall for the price and added performance I would purchase again! It is GREAT.

Summary:I installed this memory stick in a Dell Inspiron 6400 which came with 2-512MB PC2-4200 sticks. I pulled one of the 512MB sticks and installed the 2GB Corsair stick. The laptop would not boot up. I pulled the other 512MB stick and it booted fine. I noticed an improvement right away. The price of $35 (after rebate) is terrific for a great brand such as Corsair.

Summary:I used this memory to upgrade a Sony TZ150 which comes with one 1GB of DRAM, which is totally inadequate for Windows Vista. Memory was easy to install, and worked fine; Vista was much improved after the memory upgrade

Summary:The memory just worked. Memory is one of the most cost effective means for increasing system performance to serve the resource hungry OSes and software applications on the market today.

By adding the memory to my laptop, better system performance was observed immediately without needing to do anything else.

When upgrading memory one should make sure that the memory you purchase matches what is supported by your system in terms of memory type, capacity, and speed.

I also recommend going with a better known name brand such as Corsair since memory problems can cause severe instability and critical data loss.

Memory prices continue to plummet so make sure you shop around.

Summary:Corsair is know for good high end memory. Their Value Select is their affordable line and they are just as good. I put this chip in my Think Pad and the Think Pad has no problem with it. It\'s a 2gig chip and $35, I think this was a steal. Most places sells this chip for $35 after rebate now so run out and get it.

Summary:This is probably the best memory for iMac. It\'s no secret that Macs are very picky when it comes to memory upgrades, but I have been pretty happy with this particular one.

Summary:This ram will help in getting best performance for any Vista OS based system. If your system supports 2 GB in a single dimm this is the best option for such a less price.
