It does not work with Safari, Firefox, Opera or Netscape! According to Tier 3 tech support, one must use XP to use product. Occasionally, one must re-flash the firmware to bring the camera back online.
This gem of information was granted after 2 days of tech support in the off-shore offices for a total of 5 hours. These rotten folks needed me to repeat myself due to the echo in their VOIP phones. That and their thick poor working knowledge of the product or networking made these 5 hours wasted. Finally, I spoke with customer relations in Southern California who transferred me to Atrell in their Tier 3 tech support. I asked him to set up a camera so we could see if they could view the video feed in his browser. After 1 hour he deemed that the cameras in his office needed to be RMA\'d because they couldn\'t set it up. Their own tech support can\'t even use the product. Again I wasted another 2 hours..

If the developers would get off their collective bottoms and release a new firmware, this would be a sweet product for the price point. Unfortunately, the manufacturer is trying to sell this poor investment as quickly as possible with FALSE ADVERTISING as the site states that the video feed is visible using \"any browser\". Buy one, sue them. Please. Sue them to hell, and make it class action so I can get in on the gross firing of their India outsourced horrible tech support.

Reviewed by: mjcarter on 15-Sep-06 Rating:

Strengths:optical zoom

Weaknesses:pan and tilt tolerancetotal instabilityfrequent power cycles required

Summary:this camera is a piece of crapola. i have various dlink cameras 900/2100/5300/6620 and this model is unstable as charles manson on speed. most notably the camera stops responding periodically requiring power cycle. the ftp server frequently stops responding requiring power cycle. occasionally the camera will simply stop accepting the pan and tilt requests and you cant pan or tilt in any direction until you power cycle the unit. as it stands right now i can connect to my camera and i can see my video but i cant pan or tilt or even go to any of my presets the camera simply wont pan and tilt anymore until i get someone to power cycle it again, even though it was just power cycled by a person just 1 hour ago.. furthermore, if you think you can set pan/tilt/zoom presets and come back to them later, think again, there is that much tolerance in the cheap and nasty plastic gearing drive on this pan and tilt motor that you set a preset at the maximum zoom of 10x and go to some other preset and come back and you wont even be looking at the same place anymore because the tolerances.. the fact its a tiny bit and you are not at exactly the same place as you were when you set the preset are hugely amplified by the zoom factor.. i have a bird feeder in my front yard, i aim at the bird feeder and zoom in to 10x and then set a preset.. i pan around a bit and then i go back to the preset i just defined, and the feeder is no longer centered, it is now half hanging off the screen and the focus has been changed to the treeline in the background and the birds look like blurred blobs in the foreground.. so any presets set with any degree of zoom are an utter waste of time because the only time they will actually be in the center is when you are first setting the preset..

Reviewed by: ronholog on 22-Jan-06 Rating:

Strengths:Does what it says: 10x Optical Zoom!!, very good Pan, Tilt and Zoom interface and performance. 2-Way Audio, with some work; and the Digital I/O is very flexible.Configuration provides great options

Weaknesses:Manual Directions on the 2-way Audio is missing; Use of the A/V output not described well; Use of the Digital I/O too brief - though accurate.

Summary:Was able to put this PZT Camera into service the day it arrived.
