It just works! :-) In my office, I only have one ethernet connection to the router which is in a closet downstairs. I have a main computer, a Windows Home Server, a Maxtor NAS, an HP network printer and an occasional computer I am working on. The downside is that while it says 5-ports, you lose one port to make the connection to your router (or another switch). I like that the power-supply is a small adapter, which fits easily in a power-strip, without taking more than one plug socket. Having the power external, helps to keep the heat down. The device is fanless, but does get a bit hot as the metal case is dissipating heat. The other nice thing is that the status lights are on the front, and the cable connections are on the back. This allows you to easily tell if the connection is gigabit or fast ethernet, w/out having the jumble of cables in the way. I also have a Netgear GS105, and it has this problem.
