I slipped it into my computer\'s 9 in one and the computer found the card. I attempted to transfer some files to the card, and my computer (Vista SP1) hung up. I was forced to shut the computer down with the power button. After rebooting, I inserted the card and the computer hung up again. I then attempted to use the card on two XP (SP2) computers. It was non-functional in both computers. Sometimes electronic gear arrives DOA so I sent the card back to J&R, and they were nice enough to send me another card.<br /><br />Let me mention that I routinely use several different CF cards including Hitachi microdrives (which can sometimes be fickle), and they all work perfectly in my computers and camera.<br /><br />The second card arrived today. The card immediately hung up my Vista computer. I tried again. This time the computer informed me the card had some errors and attempted to perform a chkdsk operation. However that hung up and never finished. I then put it into my Canon EOS 20D. The card was recognized and I could even take a couple of pictures. However, the camera was unable to delete the photos. Obviously card #2 is also defective.<br /><br />It\'s possible these two cards came from the same bad batch. It\'s possible I\'ve lost my sanity. Solid and quick performer. No difference in speed than Sandisk extreme.
