It works to see files and boot from floppies. In fact, the main reason I bought this drive was to be able to use floppy boot disks since my laptop doesn\'t have a floppy drive.<br /><br />I\'ve worked with a few other USB floppy drives that are a bit faster (2x, I think, with this product being 1x) but for occasional use, it doesn\'t matter, especially with this price. Old, slow floppies are on their way out, but still necessary for diagnostics and stuff upon system POST. I may occasionally use one to share a file with somebody and of course this drive will work for that.<br /><br />For small, quick file transfers on a cheap medium, nothing still beats a floppy.
