Strengths:Compatibility with software at school.

Weaknesses:Compatibility with 2003 and earlier versions.

Summary:After years of using office 2003, moving to 2007 is quite an experience. Major changes were made to the basic layout of the home pages. The idea was to make things easier, but I\'m not totally convinced that this is a good thing. Time will tell of this truly is an improvement in the ease of functionality.

Summary:For the price I\'m very happy with the product. Nice to have the \'latest and greatest\' in a product to ensure having all of the features needed when creating a document, spreadsheet, or slideshow. It\'s just a matter of getting used to it and mastering the new interface.

Strengths:Faster & leaner than Office 2003.

Weaknesses:None yet.

Summary:I was concerned beforehand about dealing with the new ribbon interface, but after 5 years with Office 2003, I had no difficulty adjusting to the changes. Anything not readily apparent from working with the software was easily addressed by using the help function. I actually prefer the new interface to the old one.

Strengths:It\'s working great for my hobbies and home based business.

Weaknesses:A little awkward at first getting use to the new layout from the previous versions of Word/Excel.

Summary:I like the 3 applications to download instead of purchasing it pre-installed on the new computer I just purchased. I would definitely purchase them separatetly in the future. Thanks.

Strengths:Windows VISTA compatible, full product with media, license to install on 3 computers, reasonable priced, compatible with Office at work.

Weaknesses:Not much especially with the included $25 rebate

Summary:I got this for my new home PC with Windows VISTA. It came with the CD media which made installation easy. I like the fact I can install this on 3 computers. This is the only reasonably priced Office version as I only needed Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I don\'t use the included OneNote and at home who needs Outlook when there are so many Web based email around like gmail and yahoo mail.

Strengths:This version is affordable. I am thinking I only need one activation, perhaps I can sell the other 2 on ebay like I see others doing which will really make this affordable software for me.

Weaknesses:One bugger that irks me is MS Office always asking me if I want to save a blank page when I go to close. My personal opinion is that One Note falls short when compared to Evernote.

Summary:I tried to use the other office products. I really did. Just not the same at all. Always worring if this or that will be okay with Word.

My DD and I need MS Office for school and about every thing. My last copy of 2003 MS Office did not let me down, I figure 2007 Office will continue to be the most popular Office used in the future to come.

Strengths:more image editing features; can save as PDF format; licensed for 3 computers

Weaknesses:difficult to find commonly used features; using up lots of RAM to work

Summary:I bought this because I wanted to have a legit copy of MS Office. I like the old versions better. The common features that I used in the older versions is difficult to find in this 2007 version. I guess I just have to put some time into using it. It requires a lot of RAM on your system in order to run smoothly. I had 1GB of RAM and had to upgrade to 2GB. The main thing I like about it is the ability to save as PDF format and that the license is for 3 computers (if it\'s for your own use--not to share with others).

Summary:I liked this version a lot. It has so many things. I could do
multiple things while making presentations. Sometimes I don\'t even need to use Photoshop. You wouldn\'t believe that I use powerpoint to make very high quality poster. I have mostly used Word and PPT. Menu icons have been nicely arranged. The document can be saved in different formats like docx and 1998-20XX compatible format etc.
It deserves a try.

Strengths:Easy to install. Includes Powerpoint which I find really useful.

Weaknesses:Takes up a considerable amount of hard disk space.

Summary:I upgraded my computer from WINDOWS XP to VISTA and needed to get the latest version of OFFICE, especially WORD and POWERPOINT. Excel is also important for me.

I purchased this version and am glad that one software package included WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT. It also includes ONENOTE but I don\'t use that currently.

It is important to remember to save files in a format compatible with earlier versions of the products if you will be sharing with other users who are using older versions.

Some of the changes in screen layouts and commands needed some getting used to but after a while everything was OK.

Summary:Icons provided in lieu of drop down menus for many style and editing functions; more robust applications.

Since drop down menus have been replaced, it is sometimes difficult to find functions; use of icons increased size of toolbars, reducing size if work screen

Strengths:I like it\'s new look and new features. Easy to use once you figure out where everything is.

Weaknesses:At first you don\'t know where everything is. Price isn\'t bad for $119. Doesn\'t come with Outlook.

Summary:I think this is a big upgrade from the lastest Microsoft Office. If you can spend the money, get Office Standard with Outlook if you need it. Other Microsoft products have cooler applications if you can afford it.

Summary:office 2007 home and student comes with word (super-typewriter with thesaurus, mailmerge, etc), excel spreadsheets and analysis, and powerpoint (presentations) and something called one-note which helps with sharing and commenting (I think). License allows for installation on up to 3 Computers. If you need database software, Access comes in the professional version which is more expensive.

Strengths:New look

Weaknesses:No outlook, runs a bit buggy with my Vista.

Summary:What happened to outlook? I kept searching trying to figure out where they put it, was it renamed? Visually I really like word, much more eye pleasing. At first glance, it appears a little overwhelming to find something. One annoying issue that I\'ve had is the need to adjust the paragraph lines to single and check \"don\'t add spaces box\" before I can begin a letter. Otherwise, I happy with the new version, I can live with it sans Outlook.

Strengths:License for 3 computers, OneNote, Create PDF files.New UI and this UI is more intuitive then in the past.

Weaknesses:New docx, xlsx, and pptx file formats. New UI to learn but the new UI is also a big strength.

Summary:Office 2007 Home/Student comes with Word, Excel, Power Point, and OneNote. I mostly use Word but sometimes use Power Point and excel in the past. I always have to learn the menu structure when a new office version comes out. However, office 2007 uses a different system called ribbons which is very user friendly and intuitive, so much so that I missed it in OneNote, which uses a menu UI.

The standard file output for Word, Excel, and Power Point has an \"x\" added to the extension. The format is not compatible with the old version of Office, however, you can output using the old file format version. Writing to pdf format is great. Office can also read the old file format versions.

I really like OneNote. I the past, when I do research on the internet (like for a vacation trip), I used a program to save the web pages so I organize them and can read them offline. I could organize them somewhat using tags and other things but Office OneNote is so much better! It also integrates with other programs so I can add simple spread sheets into OneNote for expensiveness.

Strengths:3 user license for most people\'s Office needs (better value)

Summary:While still expensive, Office 2007 is essential to working with almost any documents in a decidedly Microsoft world. This software package contains all the Office applications most people need: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. However, I am not at all impressed with the new menu system that Microsoft has introduced. I would have been much happier if there was an option to revert to \"classic view.\" Even so, this is the way of the future, and one must upgrade to the new version to avoid being left in the dust.
