I like the retractable USB because I don\'t have to worry about losing the cap. (Although I recently learned that the colored loop at the end of the Kingston is to hold the cap.) The U3 launchpad is really cool. You can add or remove programs as you wish and you can enable a security feature that requires a password to unlock the USB prior to use so if you lose it, no one can delete your files and steal you flash drive! I think it\'s easy to use (most USB drives are) but if you can\'t figure out how to change anything, I suggest reading the directions. Plenty of storage capacity plus it has optional password protection. But don\'t lose the password or else the entire contents of the drive must be erased to restore access. A useful program that came with the Cruzer (Signup Shield Passwords) allows me to store user names, passwords and so forth. The pertinent info is then entered automatically when signing in to a particular website. The first 9-10 entries are free, and for a subscription fee of around $25 the program will store virtually all of one\'s passwords. <br />  <br /> Besides the storage capacity and software, I like the tough outer casing and the retractable USB plug, and the ring for a lanyard. Sandisk is a brand I trust for my digital camera memory cards, and they have not failed me yet. Very stable and dependable. However I do not choose the cheapest one but the one of sandisk, This Cruzer 4GB drive. The design is good. I like this style. Quanlity is very solid based on my previous experience of sandisk products and this one is indeed a good one. The only thing I am not happy with is the U3. I should say I thought it could be very useful, but later I found actually I do not have any chance to use U3.
