I have a 5 (or so) pound 14.1-inch laptop and didn\'t want a 3- or 4-lb case.  This Targus cuts weight by having relatively little padding, but I don\'t plan on throwing the case around so I think it will be fine.  It holds the power supply, a travel mouse, and a notebook camera with no problem.  The case is well-made, has a comfortable handle, and includes a shoulder strap (which I haven\'t used and probably won\'t).
