For $25 more you can purchase a genuine APC brand replacement battery that includes recycling.  The APC comes with a pre-paid shipping lable to return your old battery to a recycler.  The TrippLite comes with a suggestion to call phone number about recycling your old battery and that vendors charges well more than the $25 differene for the recycling.
