Strengths:Records DVD fully without the need to compress or strip content off the original disk.

Summary:Records DVD fully without the need to compress or strip content off the source disk. The transfers to the disk has been good and faster than the 2.4x rated speed. A 3 hour amount of material on the source DVD took about 42 minutes to transfer to the DVD+R DL disk using a double layer DVD burner.

Strengths:Extra capacity and compatibility (worked with both my NEC and IO drives)

Weaknesses:It is expensive

Summary:The DL disc is the way to go! The extra space makes a big difference. All the discs burnt properly and the play back of my vacation was super. The only problem is that the disk is very expensive.

Weaknesses:None that I\'ve seen so far. The discs are rated 2.4X but thats as fast as my burner can burn dual-layer discs anyway.

Summary:I can now burn exact copies of my dual-layer DVDs without losing any extras or compressing! Works great plus both layers are advanced AZO which means ultimate performance and durability.

Summary:I have used this media with a Philips DVD+RW Dual layer Drive and it has worked flawlessly every single time. Data backups are slow to write (2.4X) but you are assured of perfect discs and being able to back up 8.5 Gb of data on one disc is extremely useful for me. I have also used the discs to burn home movies and it has worked on at least 3 differnt DVD players with no trouble. I expect that cost will go down in the near future, making this an even better deal.

Summary:Got these to burn video on my plextor 715A dvd dl drive. Burned without a hitch. The 8.4 gb is good enough for 4 hrs of SP quality video. Bought for about $5.50 per disc. Can\'t afford to make any burn errors. Will buy more if price is lower.

Summary:Burned flawlessly with my Sony DRU-720A. The burns are great, and the read compatibility with my set-top Philips DVD player, as well as my PC DVD-ROM drives is perfect.

Strengths:I always trust Verbatim products because of the company\'s reputation. Jewel cases are a must because these disks are high capacity and should be protected. Writable label.

Weaknesses:Lists the compatible write speed as 2.4X (~2.75Mb/sec), which is slower than the fastest DL burners on the market (4X, 5.5Mb/sec).

Summary:I needed some dual layer DVD+R disks to store large amounts of data, but I didn\'t want to pay an arm and a leg for them. This three-pack of DVD+R DL disks was perfect. Good price, good brand reputation, compatible with my hardware. Interestingly, the jewel case inserts and box are well labeled with \"For Use only in DVD+R DL Hardware\" to avoid confusion.

Strengths:Huge capacity. They come with full size jewel cases. Very sturdy and dependable.

Weaknesses:None.

Summary:The best thing about these blank dvds are the dual layer 8.5 gig capacity. They are great for backing up a lot of large files, especially if you don\'t have a spare hard drive. I just started using this media a couple months ago, but Verbatim media has always been very dependable for me.

Strengths:I have found no compatibility problems with either PC DVD drives or set-top DVD players. High quality media.

Weaknesses:Expensive, but the prices should fall as the media becomes more common, the same way it did for the single layer DVD media.

Summary:For my Pioneer DVR-109, this is my first purchase of DL media, and I have had no problems at all. The burns are flawless and the read compatibility with all of my set-top DVD players (Sony, Panasonic) ,as well as several PC DVD-ROM drives is perfect.
