THE STROBE PRO WAS FAST, AUTOFEED, AND AUTOMATICALLY DETECTED THE CORRECT PAPER SIZE. IT ALSO ACCEPTS SLIGHTLY OVERWIDE SHEETS. THE STROBE XP 100 DOES NOT HAVE ANY OF THESE FEATURES. HOWEVER, MY MAIN USE OF THE SCANNER WAS FOR PORTABLE USE WITH MY LAPTOP.  THE XP 100 IS BETTER FOR THIS TYPE OF USE BECAUSE IT IS USB POWERED.  OVERALL, IF YOU NEED A SMALL SCANNER FOR HOME OR OFFICE USE THE STROBE PRO IS A FAR SUPERIOR SCANNER. I\'m using my Strobe Pro (USB 1.1 version), which has AutoStart, it\'s faster. I don\'t take it with me in my trips, so the fact that it\'s slightly bulkier, and has a power block (instead of USB powered) while it\'s not a plus, it does not bother me either. I\'d be interested in trying the new Strobe Pro XP200 USB 2.0, but I find it to be overpriced at $265 approx. There are multifunction machines with ADF scanner, fax, printer, copier in the market for that price. So, the XP200 would have to come to the mid 100\'s to hit the sweet spot for me.
