Strengths:Real time drawing, nice big screen to draw on, pen handles well and picks up more subtly than with a tablet.

Weaknesses:Cost, it costs more than most computers do which is sad.

Summary:As far as drawing digitally goes, this is by far the best thing out there. When compared to the 6x8 wacom tablet, I draw more comfortably and closer to how I draw on paper. I\'m able to draw tighter and get more detail and line variety.

I still find myself thumbnailing better on paper, but for clean-ups the Cintiq is amazing.

Summary:Absolutely brilliant. I am using the display under MacOSX. Setting it up was a breeze - plug it in and install the drivers. For painting and drawing it is fantastic; the texture of the screen has a good textural resistance to it.

Some minor problems, however: the provided mount for the display does not go entirely vertical or horizontal. For drawing this is not important, but it would be nice to put the display horizontal & use it just as a screen. (It is presumably easy to buy replacement mountings to do this, as the thing is \"VESA compliant\", and I\'ll probably take a look at this eventually)

Secondly, as a southpaw, trying to use the pen as a mouse replacement is tricky, as, for example, when scrolling a window you have to move your hand in front of the window contents. This is more a weakness of the OS than the Cintiq of course, and there are scroll bar replacements on the sides of the display which can be configured to scroll. I just haven\'t gotten used to using them yet.

Strengths:The biggest strength is being able to draw right on this in real time. Also it is great that you can remove it from the stand and lay it in your lap to draw comfortably.

Weaknesses:The only weakness that i have found is the price and the angle at which the stand lays on the desk - you cant get it to stand 90degrees

Summary:As posted in the weakness column they should change this stand a little so you can tilt this all the way up to 90 degrees so you can use it as a regular monitor. My chair sits a little below the desk so i have to look up to this monitor a little so i am viewing it at an angle - which is a little annoying. But everything else i am extremely pleased about. No lag while drawing like most of the laptops with the built in drawing tablets. Drivers were esy to setup - calibration was easy as well. The Cintiq is great for cad/cam, graphics work. Also awesome for the gamer - the display has great color and is very fast. I recommend it to anyone that is in the graphics or cad/cam field.

Strengths:simple, efficient and fast

Summary:I loved the being able to attach it with screws to the base, since I do not rotate it.
But I did try to rotate it before I attached it and that went beautifully.
The pen is very sensitive and works like a mouse, only much easier.
Did get it purely for fun and pleasure, but who knows- maybe I will go pro.
Editing photos could not be simpler.Setting the cintiq up was so much easier than I expected.
And I am only an intermediate PC person and 62 to boot.
There is absolutely nothing negative I have found as yet.
A super gadget- and I am using mine as my main monitor as well.
why use two when one will do.
Oh and the size is gorgeous, huge and no glare. I simply love it and it makes mousing so much easier- no more wrist pain.
