Much less expensive than the \"W\" competitor.</div><div class="weaknesses"><b>Weaknesses:</b>Not cheap</div><div class="summary"> <b>Summary:</b>Summary:<br />Our Get Away home is located many miles from the grid and has no land line connections. <br /><br />Before booster installation, our signal varied from none to occasionally four bars depending on weather, cloud cover, and system use. Our \"carrier\" displayed on our phones would change during the day. Our cell company coverage map indicates we are on the edge of 2 bar signal. Our outdoor relaxation area was in the signal shadow behind the house. <br /><br /><br />My wife is Twitter/Blackberry fan who was constantly frustrated because she would lose signal for 15-30 minutes at a time. Using our phones as a modem gave internet speeds from none to an \"usual\" 80-100 with failure possible at any time. <br /><br /><br />Talking on phones was haphazard with noise and dropped calls; the other person would complain. Now the background is silent and voices strong and clear! <br /><br /><br />After installing the zBoost YX610, we get 4 or 5 signal bars anywhere in the house and for 75 feet (as far as tested) in the relaxation area. Web connections are always quick and signal is constant. Internet speed is always 150 or a little more. <br /><br /><br />This is an excellent product which gave our wilderness home a new communications life!
